The Albanese Government is giving school students from all backgrounds the opportunity to grow their love of science.
Grants of between $1,500 and $15,000 to sponsor eligible Australian students to participate in STEM engagement events, activities and competitions will open on 22 January 2024.
Organisations such as schools and community groups can seek grants to support travel expense and registration costs. There is $1.6 million available in funding.
The maximum grant amount per student for Australian hosted events is $2,000 and $5,000 for events requiring international travel.
The Sponsorship grants are demand driven. Applications can be submitted from the opening date until the available funding is fully subscribed, or by the closing date (4 April 2024), whichever occurs first.
The Albanese Government believes a Future Made in Australia includes supporting the STEM leaders of tomorrow and embracing science at every stage.
Applications will open here.
