The Australian Government is committed to ensuring that people of all faiths can practise their beliefs, free from violence and discrimination.
The Securing Faith Based Places program offers grants of between $25,000 and $100,000 to address the risk of crime and violence resulting from religious and racial intolerance.
This funding may be used for security infrastructure upgrades including:
- Fencing;
- Lighting;
- Security cameras;
- Traffic Barriers;
- Alarm Systems;
- Access controls; and
- Engagement of Security guards.
The Securing Faith Based Places grants program provides $40 million over 4 years to improve security at religious schools and pre-schools, places of worship and faith-based community centres.
